| --Wow...I've been here for awhile now. it's already been almost 6 months. it hasn't felt anywhere close to what 6 months used to feel like. it just seems like yesterday when i was ignorantly taking a 20min roundabout subway ride instead of the 5min bus or when my laundry was stacked 4ft high...wait...that was yesterday haha. anyway, the point is that i now know how to do the laundry and i'm proud to say that i do it regularly. wait...that's not the point. the point was that time has flown by in korea and i'm enjoying 95% of it. Where's the other 5% you ask? Well it's in the quality steak and Chipotle, of course! sigh...chipotle...i miss it like a long-distance girlfriend.
--i think my korean's gotten better from the language exchanges i've been doing. nice...
--i've been working summer intensives this month. such a pain. i gotta get to work by 9am and work till 1. then do nothing until 4:30 when i go back to work till 8:45.
--losing weight is a bittersweet thing. i know i've been shocking the world by showing a slim side of me that only pre-tech people could've possibly have witnessed. but sorry to my mom who dropped a grand on my clothing before i came here. the clothes don't freaking fit anymore! what's worse is that i now actually have to go shopping to buy clothes. sigh...this is when a mom is handy.
--these kids are getting on my nerves now. i was blissfully eating watermelon down at my relatives' house in busan a couple weeks back when my aunt let out a yelp. i looked up and she was peering into my hair. she discovered...dun dun dun...a single strand of white hair. stress dawg.
--i'm missing the gyopos that went home. ready to welcome those who are to come.
--i caught two 6th grade girls drinking beer out of a clear water bottle today. i don't know what they were thinking. i asked them what it was and they said it was some kind of fruit drink but the other kids started saying that it was beer so i smelled it and lo and behold...beer! honestly, i'm kinda happy cuz they were two of the worst kids i had (obviously). hopefully, they get kicked out but knowing my hagwon, they'll prob get off with a severe warning. you know, gotta keep the money comin know what i'm sayin?
What's been goin on since June? Let the pictures do the talking:
This is from before June, in May, when my mom and grandparents were here.
Went to the middle of Korea with my grandparents and mother to visit relatives on my mom's side. They welcomed us with this. Do you know what that is? Here's a hint: "Woof woof." Still don't know? Here's another one: "Ruff ruff." Yeah...i had that same look that you have on now. My mom and i didn't eat it though. we're too american, i guess.
My relatives on my dad's side. Had lunch at this outdoor place in Busan. My cousin was telling me how good this place was and when we pulled up to it we all cracked up laughing. This place looked like the most ghetto place on Earth. But no joke, the 칼국수 (some noodle soup thing) was no joke. Mad good.
Met up these two ladies at Gangnam back in June. The first time we met up we went to some worthless Dak Galbi (chicken) joint. But...
went to this place afterwards to make up for it =) can't go wrong with thick 목살 (pig neck. i know, it sounds disgusting but trust me, it's really good!)
Met up Jennifer and her bf in 신촌 and he paid! nice guy forreals! what is this picture? it's jennifer's showerhead. SO NICE!
The self labeled "Korean Drama Crew" had our first event at Lotte World.
The darkest people in Korea.
Okay...this is for all you out there who think i carry around a man-purse. No...THIS is a man-purse. What i carry around is called a "bag." B-A-G. say it with me now "BAG...."
The worst advertisement in the world. We saw this next to a food place in Lotte World. I was mad hungry until i saw this picture. just look at that...look at that "burger" and those "fries." makes you lose your appetite.
Haha this is just one of the hundreds of funny pictures of Eunice out there in the world.
Of course we had to hit up a noraebang.
HAHA don't ask. we were kind of in the moment, dazzled by the fact that we were actually living out what they do in the korean dramas.
We obviously went to the right 찜질방. they knew all about the hokies. yes...that now includes esther.
Freezing our goongdangs off but it was better than the burning hot rooms in my humble opinion.
My cousin and me at a Lotte Giants (Busan) baseball game. She's single, guys and she's my age. email if you're interested lol
That girl on the left is the biggest foolio in the world. She now regrets leaving Korea early. That's what you get. Here's a tribute to you.
Me helping to paint my language partner's room. That room was so yellow that i thought my retinas were gonna burn off. haha it's okay looking now.
The crew took me to this beast place in Shinchon that had this beast Pizza Dak Galbi. This sums it up.
Sky graced us with her presence there. Their side of the table.
My side. See how happy we all are? The food's really good.
Another korean thing to do. went to a sticker picture place after our wonderful meal. haha
HAHA just look at M.Bison
An ad for a plastic surgeon. Haha this is what's desirable in Korea: a small face and a lovely breast. just one.
Making our way to the 한강. hahaha looks like the drunk guy is carrying the sober girl on his back. although none of us drank.
Happy birthday! whoa...semy looks scandalous here.
Living out another K-drama moment at the Han River.
Met up these guys in Gangnam and we went to a cafe that had Dr.Fish. What's Dr.Fish? It's a small pool where you stick your feet in that has a bunch of fish in it that eat the dead skin off your feet. Jon and Josh couldn't stop laughing. Apparently, it tickles.
He only spent a short time here but this is what Korea did to him.
Went to the beaches down in Busan a couple weeks back. Beautiful day.
No videos this time. So this is what's been happening. Miss you all!
| hey everybody. it has been awhile. how am i doing in korea? i give the same answer to everyone. i'm doing very well. i'm very content with my life here. still only working 20 hours/week. mmm not much has changed. my mom and grandparents stayed for awhile and now they're gone. but they left behind good things such as a couch and a vacuum cleaner. i've gotten very used to korea now. i now use the bus system more than the subway. it took me awhile, but i finally got the hang of it. things i've been thinking: -everybody asks me two things: 1)how's korea 2)do you have a girlfriend/wife yet? now, these are very legit questions, but number 2...haha o number 2. i'm sad about number 2. no, not because i don't have a girl that spends all my money, but the fact that i feel like i've been pitied by everyone. well, it's kinda funny to know that everyone is rooting for me. but on the other hand, i'm thinking..."maybe my life is pathetic and everyone thinks it's because i don't date around...." now i'm thinking..."i should surprise everyone and return with 5 kids next year." and yes, in order for that to happen i'd need to father 5 children with 5 different women. interesting idea....haha -i really should read more. so i go to the bookstore quite often to read. it's pretty nice. -i miss chipotle hardcore. -korean girls dress really nicely which kinda goes along with their heightened feminitiy. girls in korea are a lot more feminine as are the guys(not a good thing). teem and i have talked about this before and now that i realize his statement that korea sends over all the weird girls to the US is true. i thought the way fobs dressed was bizarre. but here...the clothes look good. girls dress way better than the ones back at home. probably on par with fashionistas in NYC and LA. -koreans are a frustrating people. they worship American things and the language, but there's a lot of anti-American sentiments here. this whole mad cow disease controversy isn't helping either. the sad thing is that the fight has gone beyond just the cow issue, it's very politically motivated by korean groups that either simply hate the president or are against the FTA. the even sadder thing is that children are getting involved. little 6th graders tell me i'm bad cuz i'm american. of course, they're just kids so they don't realize that they'd be freaking communist right now under the regime of kim jong il if it wasn't for americans, nor would they be enjoying such a rich society. but they're learning all this anti-American sentiment from their parents, teachers, the television, and friends. poor kids. -i did something last week that i haven't done in korea yet: the laundry. my first batch of laundry, my aunt did. after that, my mom and grandma did it. i finally worked up the courage to try it and i've found that it's quite simple. although, i think it's ruining my shirts. stretches them out a little. -i did something this week that i've never done before: set up language exchanges. i've been facing a dilemma here in korea for quite some time: due to my working hours, i've got a lot of free time in the mornings and early afternoons. i was thinking i should work, but i also wanted to learn korean. i think i figured out a way to do both: do language exchanges where i can practice korean for free and the other person practices english for free and we just talk in english and then in korean and vice versa. it's pretty cool. i posted on a website, kinda thinking that no one would answer because it was an american site but a bunch of people have responded. 3 guys and 7 girls. my cousin warned me not to give anything to those girls, so if they ever ask for anything, even so much as asking me to pass them the sugar, they're outta there. haha i explicitly said that i'd feel more comfortable with talking with people around my age but there was this 38 year old AJUMMA that wanted to do it. this is what she wrote and i quote, "though i am 38yr old, still young at heart." i kindly declined, telling her that she got back to me too late and my schedule was full, but if people dropped out then i'd def consider her. what the heck does an ajumma need to learn english for? yikes. after i got her email, i began to think that these random people i'm agreeing to meet with could be psychos that try to slip me a drug and then chop me up to eat later with some kimchee. by this time, i had already set up a meeting and so i was really nervous when i got to the starbucks, but fortunately she turned out to be a nice nuna(older girl), or so she seemed...she went to grad school at CUNY so her english wasn't too bad and she wanted help for job interviews. hopefully, the others turn out to be talkative and nice like she was. pray that i don't get tortured, or worse...starved. mmm it's kinda late and i can't think that well, so i'll stop here. also, i can't find the usb cord for my camera so pics will have to wait till next time. just know that i'm alive and well. for now. | | |
| Hello Everyone!
For those of you wondering how I am doing in Korea the answer is that I'm doing just fine. I've been here for about a month now and life is pretty sweet. I only work 4 hours a day, for now, so that equals out to about 20 hours a week. I get paid pretty decently, enough to buy basically whatever I need/want. I really couldn't ask for more, except maybe a Chipotle somewhere. Seriously, I'm craving Chipotle hardcore...I miss everyone back at home! My mom's coming in a week. Her cousin's getting married so that's her excuse to come but actually she just wants to see me. Dang...she's staying for three weeks, though. A long time...haha but I don't mind too much. It'll be nice to get some home-cooked meals. She told me she wants to make my apartment "habitable." But I'm not afraid to say this: I don't know how to take care of myself. Good thing my mom's coming. I was locked out of my apartment yesterday. I lost my keys. I was scared. I thought I had to sleep outside. Good thing I had the foresight to give the spare to my mom's friend and not keep it in the house. I illegally crashed in Sangmin's dorm room and my mom's friend picked me up the next morning with a complimentary breakfast and the spare key. God provides.
Things I've felt in Korea thus far:
-Seriously, Koreans are an uncouth people. Now I understand why you have to take off your shoes before entering the house...people spit on the streets everywhere. It's pretty disgusting, especially when it's cold because you can see the frozen loogeys. Everybody pushes you in the subway. Nobody holds doors open for anybody. I hold doors open for people, they walk through without so much as a look of acknowledgment. I mean, I don't do it for acknowledgment, but a nod or a "thank you" is an appropriate response, no?
-Korean kids are so loud. They shout for everything. I tell kids "Why are you yelling at me?" all the time. I don't remember American kids being so loud.
-Koreans love being the same. Everyone's got the same two or three kinds of look. I really don't understand why the girls wanna look the same. Don't girls usually wanna stand out and be unique? I mean, there's only so many types of looks a guy could have, but girls...and it's pretty ugly too. Sorry. I had to say it.
-Dude, it's all about appearances in Korea. There are mirrors everywhere and everyone is always checking themselves out. The girls all dress to impress, even in grocery stores. Pretty weird. Yo...some of the guys here...they're sexuality is pretty ambiguous. I seriously, can't tell if they're a guy or girl. Purses are in...for guys. So are tight pants. So are shirts that are really long on the bottom and go down to like your thighs, you know, the shirts that girls wear to the gym to exercise.
-Korea's more fun than America. Maybe it's cuz I live in VA, which is def pretty boring, but this place def feels more alive. The subway system is really nice so you can basically go anywhere you want within an hour.
-When I speak Korean, my voice goes up an octave. This has mainly to do with the fact that I'm not confident in my Korean so I speak quieter.
-I'm back into Starcraft. There are two Starcraft channels and I just leave one on mute while I watch American shows online. I go to the PC bang like once a week to test out new strategies and tactics that I see from the TV. I know, I'm a dork. But hey, being a dorky Starcraft nerd is in in Korea.
-Koreans don't fully comprehend American curse words. That's why they allow you to hear it on TV all the time and they say it without any remorse. They're like normal words.
-If you wanna make anything legit or elite, say it in English. All the commercials have some kind of English, all music lyrics have some English...Koreans are obsessed with English.
-Being Korean-American has its drawbacks. When people first talk to me, they think I'm true Korean. But then I give them a puzzled look and I don't respond, and that's when they give me their own puzzled look and then that's when I feel awkward and dumb. They don't expect a white dude to know Korean so he gets a free pass. But I look like just like em so..yeah..I feel dumb whenever they ask me questions.
-Taking out the trash sucks! You have to separate different types of trash. Seriously, it sucks.
-My grandpa lived through the Japanese occupation and when he was in school, they gave him 3 cards. Each time he spoke Korean, the teachers would take away a card. If he had no cards by the end of the day, he'd get punished. It's kind of the same way at the hakwons, except now Koreans are volutarily not speaking Korean. Kind of ironic.
There's more, but...I'm lazy. So...onto the pictures:
My one room apartment. Looking from the front door.
My kitchen on the right. I haven't cooked anything yet. I only have Banana milk (haha Chan) and water in the fridge. Two reasons why I don't wanna cook: 1)I don't wanna take out trash 2)I don't wanna use any of the cookware, bowls, utensils...someone I don't know used them and they look kind of old so...I don't wanna use them. When my mom gets here, she said we'll go shopping for cookware and new bowls and plates and crap. Nice...
This is where the magic happens. =)
My dining table on the left. My bathroom on the right. Bathroom's pretty dirty...you don't wanna go in there.
The front half of my living room.
The back half.
For those of you that know me best...you know my supreme hatred of laundry.
So my aunt came from Busan to do it for me! Haha just kidding. She came for a wedding...but she really did do my laundry. savior. truly.
The view when I step out my door. The left view.
The right view. Below is like some ecological recreation park. It's really nice. You can go jogging and stuff. It eventually hits the Han River.
My daily walk to work. Takes about 15 minutes to get there from my apartment. It's a nice walk.
My second home in Korea: My dad's older brother's family in Busan. The aunt who did my laundry. No, my uncle is not passed out drunk on the floor. He's a pastor. He had a crazy headache and is writhing in pain. My female cousin is on the computer. My male cousin is watching the Man U game.
Popeyes. I was craving this hardcore. Devoured it with my cousin in Busan.
For you Winning 11 players...the Busan Asiad Stadium. Muhaha
I was in Busan for Easter weekend and my uncle's church participated in a city-wide gathering for easter. Inside the basketball arena.
Grandparents in Busan.
Grandparents plus me.
Grandma plus Kyung-In, my cousin.
My students hard at work. Haha just kidding...I told them to pose.
This is what we do for the majority of the time. Play heads up 7-up. Even 6th graders love this game. Immature, I know.
PUHAHA I thought I lived in deplorable conditions...until I went to Patty's place. This is her bathroom. Yes...that is a laundry machine IN her bathroom. She has to take showers with it. Isn't it heaven?! I am truly blessed.
Onto video clips: The view from my house at night. Nice view. I live on the 13th floor.
My favorite class. This is a typical 50 minute period with them. The teaching part at least.
Then it's onto games. I feel sick every night because of Pictionary. It's 20 dirty kids shouting stuff at me, making their germs airborne straight into my face.
At Gangnam Station. We reenacted a scene that actually happened to me at Gangnam Station. It was the first time going to church and Patty was gonna take me but she was running late. So I was sitting and waiting when this crazy lady was walking past me. Suddenly, she stopped, looked at me, and came over. She started to dance and sing a song for literally 2 minutes...right in front of my face. I didn't move. I was so scared she was gonna slash my throat. But after 2 minutes I couldn't take it anymore so I pretended I got a call and got the shenanigans out of there. There are LOTS of crazy people in Korea just walking around. Be careful.
So...this has been a snippet of my life in Korea thus far. Don't expect weekly updates. I'm way too lazy. =) Man I want some American food...

| Greetings from Seoul! Man...I haven't used this thing in forever. But, it's about time I resurrected this thing for the s(e)oul purpose of keeping my friends and random xanga wanderers in the know of my whereabouts in this new country. I'll try to update once a week and use this as a sort of journal. So...read! My flight left Dulles International at 11:45am on Tuesday. The 14 or 15 hour long plane ride was a living hell...so long! O well, the bibimbap was pretty good and there were a million movies that I could watch. I landed at Incheon around 3:45pm on Wednesday KST. My journey took an inauspicious turn when I got off the plane and stood right in front of Immigration when I realized I left the book that I bought in Dulles inside the plane along with my Immigration and Customs forms. I reacquired the forms and filled them out and got through without any trouble. I stood at B6 baggage claim and noticed a very, very pretty girl sitting on a cart about a foot to my left. Only one thought crossed my mind..."plastic!" I got my bags and went through the glass doors Arrival section that you often see in Korean dramas and I felt like a celebrity. There were like a million people crowded outside waiting for people. Then I felt sad because none of those people were waiting for me...=( haha. I showed the bus ticket girl an index card with my apartment's address and she printed one out and showed me where to go. The first thing I noticed about Korea when I stepped outside was that about 80% of all men smoke cigarettes. Smells so bad! The bus trip to Seoul took about an hour and a half because of all the traffic. Seoul looks like a very nice city. Here's where the story gets interesting...I got off the bus at the stop and with my two huge immigration bags and two small bags, I stood at the side of the street and tried to hail a taxi so I could go to my apartment. Unfortunately, I didn't know that there were designated areas to call taxis and so none stopped for me. I felt like a loser! lol...So, I got my bags and walked around the corner up a small street hoping that a taxi would take pity and stop for me. None did. There was quite an incline so I said enough is enough and I stood still and tried to figure out where I was going. Of course, I knew nothing. Several high school/middle school girls passed by but I felt uncomfortable asking them for directions because from a distance I saw that they looked at me with suspicion so I didn't ask them. When a 50 year old looking woman walked by I stopped her and asked for directions. She looked at my card and took my bag and started taking me in the right direction! We started chatting and I told her why I was in Korea and stuff and of course she was startled by my sick-nasty, awesome Korean skills considering that I was born and raised in the good ole' U S of A. She complimented me the whole way. I originally asked her to take me to a cab and when we got to one, she said, "Let's just walk to your apartment so we can continue talking. It's right up there." I wasn't exactly sure where, but I agreed. She was really nice and talked about church a lot. She wanted me to befriend her 29 year old son who was about to take the CPA exam and her 26 year old daughter whom...I don't remember what she did. We walked about 2 miles and she wrote down her info and told me to call anytime. Nice lady! As I walked her back to get her a taxi, she told me that she was coming back from a prayer meeting at church and that our meeting was part of God's plan. I heard that and felt like I've never heard a truer word. I was seriously lost, but God definitely sent her to guide me! MONEY! When I got back to my apartment, I sat down on a chair and in that moment, never felt lonelier in my life. Disconnected from the outside world with no phone, internet, or friends around me, it felt like the year 1640. That moment lasted for about 5 minutes and vanished when I ventured outside to explore my immediate surroundings. I found this PC bang, small restaurants, and grocery stores in my neighborhood. Pictures will come later, I promise! I couldn't sleep last night. The jet lag was killing me. I slept at 11pm, woke up at 2am, and didn't fall asleep until 6am. I woke up at 9:30 this morning. I'm sitting here at this PC bang again, checking my email every so often, waiting for Virginia's response. So, thus far Korea's been...lonely? I'm fully confident it'll get better though. This sick feeling of sadness didn't hit me till that moment in the chair, but every minute I feel better! No worries, friends! As I learned yesterday, God provides! This beginning of a new chapter in my life calls for the closing of the former, so I'll end with some pics! Enjoy! Graduation...I'm an alum! My mom and friends.
Last night at Blacksburg. At Inho's place. Caught them in the act! No, not Inho/Mina, but TeemKeem/Mina! MUHAHA!
Played hide-and-go-seek at the junior girl's place!
At the JG Winter retreat at the 4H Center Front Royal. Sitting next to Huge Lips in the back where the cool people reside. Huge Lips sporting his traditional BT look. HAHA love you, YC!
The greatest ice breaker ever! Man overboard! Haha...D Whang on Will with Alex's tight goong-dang on the right.
There was a celebrity in my small group! McLovin from Superbad! LOL!
My family went to Los Angeles, California in the beginning of January to visit my Aunt Sarah's family who moved there. The first thing we did when we got off the plane...In n Out! Overrated...5 Guys is better and that opinion is without East Coast bias. Don't get me wrong...it's a good burger. Pretty clean. But for pure, burger taste...5 Guys dawg...it was yummy, nevertheless!
There needs to be this place in VA...Tahoe Galbi. Bot ssam buffet with unlimited galbi, daeji gogi, sahmgyubsahl, and most importantly-chah dohl baegi! LA's korean food is wonderful.
My cousin, Noah. Sarah's firstborn. Supposedly he looks like me when I was a kid, but everyone always whispers that I looked a little better/cuter! muhaha...At Nozomi's in San Diego visiting my Navy uncle.
Noah's younger brother, Isaiah! Don't let the cuteness fool you...this kid is a lot to handle! I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to punch him a few times...
Dad/sis on a cliff at San Diego. San Diego is the one place on the west coast that I would move to. Perfect weather/no pollution like LA/good quality of life = habitable place.
Mom/me
My dad wanted to take a romantic pic buy mom walked away embarassed haha!
Family pic overlooking downtown San Diego.
My aunt lives on the Miracle Mile in LA, a very nice area right next to K-town and in front of this nice, outdoor mall aka The Grove.
Sis/I. Me holding the new iPod touch I bought her for Christmas/birthday. That's the only reason why she agreed to take a picture with me haha...jk. She worships me.
I miss my homegroup down at Tech. I definitely miss my co-leaders Mark, Elleen, and Joyce. A taste of what we do at our planning meetings...I told Mark to show Joyce Wu what the Sharpshooter move was. She wanted to know because we told her it was fun! Lol...
At Inho's house...
Us at JG retreat...This is what we do to instill fear in the hearts of the young ones so that they'll listen to us.
Also JG retreat. HAHA Andy is so evil. He told the high school kids that if whoever rolled down the hill and ran back up, first place would get 20 bucks. Watch...
Well, that's been my life so far. I have no idea why there are a million kids in this PC bang right now...don't they have school? Anyway, stay tuned for updates!
| man...football season is truly great! college football, NFL, and fantasy football eat up like 20% of my life each week. how are my teams doing? the hokies - well...we were obviously grossly overrated in the preseason. we're good, but not #9 good. our offense is truly struggling. we can't even put up more than 17 points against WORTHLESS UNC...that's pretty sad. our defense is kinda disappointing too. teams that shouldn't be scoring on us are scoring on us. this is bad. yo hokies...ya'll need to pick it up. pick it up! redskins - we're doing as expected. noob Jason Campbell is doin aight. our receivers are sucking it up. portis is money, though. just please...beat dallas. i'm sick of these WORTHLESS cowboys fans thinking they're cool. fantasy football teams - i'm dead last in jesuk's league. i don't think that'll change cuz my team sucks. in my church league i'm doing decently. i'm in 4th. hopefully i'll pick it up. in the ccf league, i used to be the undisputed champion...but...i had to be a fool and boast. God humbled the proud and now i'm in 4th. poo. it's okay, i repented though. i should be coming back up any day now. i just wrote a lot about football, right? see? i wasn't lying when i told you football is eating up my life!
hmm..it's been a month since my last update. time to brag to all you people out there who read this how sweet life is!
during the lsu game, ccf kicked off the men's ministry. we didn't do anything Jesus-y. mostly just chillin, eatin, and celebrating how great our football team is. unfortunately, God had other plans and told us to shut up. we got destroyed by lsu 48-7. it's okay though...that pummeling ushered in the tyrod taylor era! the guys cheering for tyrod. haha look at mike yi.
homegroup started. we got a good group. here we are at mark's house sitting around.
andy, chan, and i went to d2 breakfast at 8am. it was my first d2 breakfast ever. it was mad good. haha i would never wake up for an 8am class, but for breakfast....mmm....i'm willing to make exceptions. andy and chan were just gonna go by themselves, but i woke up while andy was getting ready to leave so i tagged along. when we got into the car and started going, they told me that we were going to a prayer meeting. i got really mad. luckily, they parked in the west end parking lot and not in front of the chapel. andy and chan grubbin':
a delicious omelette.
lyd jo convinced me to study with her on the drillfield. it was pretty worthless. i was distracted by her yelling at her WORTHLESS dog, justice every 10 seconds. plus, people were playing football so i just watched. i read like 5 pages in an hour. lyd giving me a dirty look after i called her dog worthless.
we went up to nova a couple weeks ago to go to wooj's wedding. young kim was with us. this foolio had never been to a popeyes! chan, david suh, and i decided to enlighten him. the enlightened one:
the wedding was so awesome! so much more fun than some other weddings i've been to. reasons it was better? 1) i actually knew the people getting married. 2) the wedding ceremony was mad short. good. 3) the reception was at a country club. when we walked into the country club, there were hors d'oeuvres being passed around and open bar. got myself a little chardonnay and had some munchie snacks. here is semy and i taking our traditional BT look. obviously she pulls it off better than me.
awww that's nice.
sang, david, and i were, for some weird reason, placed at the couples table. we were the only single men there. how sad.
another couple. haha just look at her face. classic. don't kill me, elly!
the happily married couple. congratulations and may God bless your lives together. you'll be together for a LONG time.
after the wedding, i met up with bernie, sam, and danny. we went to dc for some reason and ended up meeting sam lee and joanna (andy's sister) to say happy birthday at the world war II memorial. that place is mad nice. a good date place for all you couples out there!
ccf lock in was good. too bad i had to miss a lot of it. our skit turned out pretty decently for the amount of time we spent practicing. haha i love this shirt.
just look at this guy. it's teem keem.
wooj and minah aren't the only happily married couple on this xanga entry. look at these guys:
yeah...i don't know what to say...you guys decide...
went to the tech-unc game this past weekend. kinda disappointed at how we played. but the atmosphere was good. started off with a bang. a b-2 bomber flew overhead! hopefully, the government won't shut down the site for posting a pic of a stealth bomber. shouldn't they not be seen if they're stealth? what a waste of $1 billion.
mindy fiercely devouring the succulent turkey leg. mike was just as disgusted as i was.
joe han came down. good to see ya bro!
the roomies minus chan. chan will never go to a game because he is a fool for not buying season tickets. i will laugh at him when he can't get into the bc, fsu, and miami game. HA!
HAHAHAHHAHA uh....their rendition of young cho....young, don't beat me up!
and now of course...let's finish it off with some videos. a couple clips from the men's ministry lsu game. in this clip, somebody yells out "hey, late hit!" haha it's funny. it's funny because at that point in the game, we would've cheered for anything. we couldn't score so we have to cheer for penalties on the opposing team. here are our pitiful selves:
when we scored. listen for yong duk. haha
yep...that's all for now.
